Andy Stack is the founder of Buffalo Stack Productions. A graduate of SUNY Purchase (Jazz Studies & Performance), Andy spent the 13 years following his graduation as a multi-instrumentalist & session musician in New York City (aka- school of hard knocks).
Andy’s love of roots American music, Jazz, Folk, Ragtime, Blues, RnB, Rock n Roll, has led to his accumulation of a vast song repertoire and musical vocabulary. A masterful acoustic and electric guitarist as well as a singer, drummer, bass player (electric and upright), and keyboardist, Andy has a deep understanding of harmony and can arrange strings and horns in almost any style. As an engineer, Andy has sought private tutoring from Grammy Winning engineers Jeff Jones and Bob Power, as well as a mentorship with Joe Johnson, who is also on staff at BSP. His passion for all things musical has led to a beautiful collection of classic vintage instruments, recording gear, and microphones that make the studio stand out from any comparable studios in the region. Andy has toured and/or recorded with NY Ska-Jazz Ensemble, Jonah Smith, Duncan Sheik, Gabriel Kahane, Les Nubians, The Harlem Boys Choir, Lucius, and countless others.
